How to have eCommerce Fulfillment inventory prepped for Amazon FBA
We're still refining this process and trying to figure out how to improve it but in the interim this seems to be the best approach for everyone!
1) Shipment Plan Creation. Currently, it makes the most sense for you to create the plan directly in Seller Central and import it later. So you'll basically just create a shipment plan like normal in Seller Central.
2) Shipment Plan Submission/Splitting. This is the final Seller Central step where you'll go ahead and submit the plan to Amazon and see if it splits it. Once this is done, we have to submit all of the info within 5 days or it becomes void. It's vital you coordinate with support on this to ensure timelines will work. Due to this, we advise submission early in the week as we're closed on weekends. If we pick everything and the plan has become void, we have to bill hourly to solve it. We know this is not ideal but if done right we shouldn't have any issues. Our team will move quickly once the order is in ShipHero.
3) Creating Shipments in ShipHero. You're almost done! We'll take over once this is complete! Here, you'll need to create manual orders for each split or for the shipment if Amazon didn't split it. Do not do this until you've submitted the shipment to see if Amazon will split it. Once you're ready, go ahead and either create manual order(s) here or use the CSV upload here. Once they're inputted, apply an Operator Hold and shoot a quick note to team@simplefulfillment.com just letting them know they're there and they'll loop in the warehouse team.
From there, we'll handle the rest! It's vital you confirm splits, check for any discrepancies, etc. Once the order is picked from Fulfillment, it's going to move to our Prep team and we have to move quickly to submit it. Any errors/discrepancies may lead to delays/fees. Please reach out to our success team if you get stuck or aren't sure. We're happy to help.
Also, please ensure you only have 20 SKUs per shipment from Amazon prior to it splitting. If you need to send more than 20, please reach out to support or make multiple shipments.
